Artists

Jeff mission

Jeff Mission (Circle, Sonic Beating) is always hungry for a well-balanced mix. Take the basic ingredients - melody, percussion, rhythm and groove - then add a few notes of unexpected flavor. Add heat and stir vigorously, until things start cooking.

Gary Carlow

Music has ALWAYS been Gary’s passion. For over 30+ years Gary Carlow has been a mainstay in the Boston/New England music scene playing at clubs, special events, regional festivals, and afterhours parties throughout New England. You’ll never hear the same set twice.  He has kept his sound fresh and relevant while never forgetting his musical roots.

To quote Gary: "I play underground house and techno"..."[but] I never get caught up in genres. My sets draw from my long history of dance music woven together to take the dance floor on a musical journey. My sound is not commercial. There is so much great music out there that you would never hear on the radio or in a mainstream club. I still get excited every time I step in to the DJ booth!"

Damien Paul

Damien Paul is a Boston-based multimedia artist, DJ, and event producer. A long-standing stalwart of the New England underground scene, Damien has dedicated his work to combining cutting-edge visual arts with emerging sounds to create transformational dance music experiences.  For nearly two decades, Damien Paul built his name as a trusted selector and tastemaker with his signature sound of raw, rave-inspired dance music.

His events have earned him critical acclaim, ranging from a "2012 Best of Boston" award for his residency at Good Life, to helping RISE earn a "Top 100 Clubs" award by DJ Mag with his Wonderland weekly event series. His visual art has been featured by the City of Chelsea, Somerville's Boynton Yards District, Artisans Asylum, and The Boston Children's Museum.  His command of the dancefloor was earned as a seasoned opener, highlighted by his sets supporting world-class talent including Jay Lumen, John Dahlback, Drumcell, the Scumfrog, and Danny Daze.  His sounds have been showcased on festival stages such as Identity Festival, Fractalfest, It Takes a Village Fest, Hydrotechnics Festival, Firefly Arts Collective, Figment Boston, and the Together Festival.

Keith Mattar

A prominent DJ of the New England Burning Man community, Keith Mattar has been a household name with local techno lovers for the last 15 years. Keith is a resident DJ with Sonic Beating, the collective responsible for organizing respected Techno and Psytrance events in Boston such as Psyforia and Flux, and is also music lead for Diode, a sound camp at Firefly since 2011. Keith's taste for quality production extends from the tracks he throws down to the very events he helps produce. His style can be described as dark and minimal techno, with hints of melodies to keep the audience guess and his sets are instantly recognizable to his dedicated following, captivating old and new fans alike.

Màrelle

Màrelle is a Boston-based DJ with a lifelong passion for music, dancing, psychology, and art. Over the past few years, she has become heavily involved in the underground dance community. She has been working behind the scenes and recently performed for local collectives such as Re:Set, Experience, Heat Records, and Flora. Her DJ sets, infused with acid, groovy house, minimal, and techno are curated sonic journeys designed to captivate and energize audiences. Màrelle is known for her eclectic track selection and ability to connect with her listeners on a deeper emotional level.

Ryan Manta

Ryan Manta is an ocean activist and creature of vibration. Fascinated with ancient wisdom, mysticism, and the medicine in music, Manta mixes a wide range of ingredients to stimulate healing, cleansing, resetting and harmonizing our relationship with mind, body, soul, our environment and the current moment. Passionate about the health and wellness of our oceans, Ryan donates a portion of all profits from DJing to ocean regeneration initiatives, like Global Coralition. Ryan Manta can be caught spinning underground house music and disco at his residency, every 4th Friday at ZuZu (MA).

dontnormally

dontnormally is a memetic hypersigil designed to transmit subversive philosophy and brought to exist by Zyler Vega, a reality engineer and enjoyer of both cats and techno based out of Boston, MA. For the past 15 years dontnormally has been been working hard to chill fast and spread far its pseudotaoist dadatech flavour of mischief, seeking out opportunity to trick latent weirdos into believing in themselves through free or DIY events. the made-up genre "full-on minimal" describes much of the sounds you may hear but not nearly all of them.

Ghostmuse

ghostmuse is a purveyor of fine auditory experiences and a staunch believer that the music should speak for itself. Unfortunately, "the man" demands a bio, so here it is. ghostmuse's influences include the rhythmic pulse of the cosmos, the hum of a malfunctioning refrigerator, and that one time they accidentally fell asleep with the TV on. Their sets are best enjoyed with an open mind and a healthy dose of existential dread. (P.S. Don't bother asking about their "process" – ghostmuse finds such inquiries tedious and prefers to let the music do the talking. Also, they think you look nice today.)

K Complex

K Complex is a DJ who started from humble beginnings as a simple but curious bedroom DJ in 2019. K Complex grew from spinning at intimate house parties and underground warehouse events to playing larger stages in the woods. With an infectious energy and a deep love for the craft, K Complex’s journey has taken her to the Camp Lamp stage at FireFly, the New England regional burn, where she captivated crowds with her signature blend of house, tech house, bass house, electro house, and garage.

Dekichan

Classically trained on the pipe organ, dekichan got his start DJ'ing to meet the vast variety of musical styles for firespinners. It was a natural progression to DJ'ing at Burning Man and regionals.
